The idea behind the botanical works was to have a link to the Wellington Botanical gardens and produce hand painted gouache works on paper which referenced the iconic English Liberty-style botanical illustration imagery as well as the William Morris school of design.

This series was produced as a response to a group exhibition at the small but iconic Millwood Gallery in Wellington which is nestled along the road next to the Wellington Botanical Gardens for over 25 years. The series of three hand rendered original works were translated into a digital edition. The circular form is one which I repeat often in my work and ties the subject to my visual narratives. This set of three prints was exhibited at Millwood alongside larger originals, all of which have sold out. I continuously take commission requests for original paintings from this series and am very excited about the new original works which I will be adding to the series in 2020.

More to come on these, links in my news section once the work is ready!
