Catching up in London and New Zealand and talking about future projects...
This year, along with frequent catching up, I’ve had a couple of studio visits from Seed Gallery. I’ve been working with Kate and Emma for over 12 years now and showing new work, finished and unfinished is always an important part of maintaining good communication and a strong working relationship.
This year we did two visits – one in New Zealand and it was really nice to have Emma and her family visit my London studio.
We always catch up on life and work, make selections for upcoming exhibitions, discuss the direction of my work and where they are moving as a gallery. We talk about future plans and I always value and trust their ideas on what I am working on. The support and interest from the women at Seed has always been open and inviting, they are always receptive to ideas and different ways of doing things and that is always refreshing and in many cases vital for the undertaking of work which can be challenging or sets off in a new direction.
